It is with my deepest sorrow that I bring you the news of Peete's untimely passing. I will post any new information here as I receive it.

Peete and I enjoyed talking about our lives and music. Friday night, Peete had been over around 8:30 for a visit. He brought over an out of town friend, Mark, with him. We sat on my front porch and talked for about a half hour our so. He than called me back about 11:30 and asked if I was going to be up for awhile. I was reviewing some of the videos I shot at a bluegrass festival the previous week and I told him to come on over. I wanted to give him a glimpse of what some jammin' at Bean Blossom was like. We sat, talked and watched for a couple of hours and than Peete headed back home.

If anyone would like to share some of their memories or stories about Peete or speak to him as he looks down from heaven,  I'm sure his family and friends would love to read them. Just post them in the guestbook and I will get them printed out and give copies of them to Peete's family. Anyone that has some nice shots of Peete to share with everyone, I would be glad to post some of them here on this website for others to be able to view. If they are already in a digital format, you can just email them to me as an attachment at johnhotze@sbcglobal.net.

Here are a few photos that I took of Peete over the past year or so. I will edit more videos of Peete and his "Bradley Avenue Blues Band" as time goes on.

This legendary bluesman from Akron, Ohio found his way to Bradley Avenue during his visit to St. Louis to say goodbye to an old friend - Henry Townsend.  Sonny had many stories and old memories to share with us during his visit.

The site has a new video featuring Bluesman CW - October 2, 2006. Click on the Bluesman CW link to view the video. There will be a few more videos featuring Sonny as he joined the Bradley Avenue Blues Band for some jammin' at Peete's.

Sonny be bad and that be good.
